C.5.1 Lateral positioning [Go to Page]
The following description describes the mechanical interface for an ACD counterpart located on the right lane for right hand driven EV.
The current collector’s lateral position of the ACD on the EV shall be installed in order to be properly in contact with the right part of the infrastructure when the vehicle tire is in contact with the curb as shown in section C.5.7.
The lateral interval between the contacts should fit the infrastructure contacts interval so that the lateral positioning tolerance is optimum. The infrastructure contacts width is 300 mm, optimum ACD design should offer a lateral positioning toleranc...
The driver shall approach the charging spot with a lateral reference with the curb.
The curb shall be designed to allow a contact between the tires and the curb without damaging the tires.
C.5.2 Longitudinal positioning [Go to Page]
The current collector’s longitudinal position of the ACD on the EV shall be installed in order to be properly in contact with the rear part of the infrastructure when the vehicle is in position at the bus stop.
The driver shall approach the charging spot with a longitudinal reference with a marker located on the infrastructure and visible from the driver position.
The driver has the possibility to drive forward (and not backward) to the marker position, corresponding to a position where the ACD is in its rear position. The longitudinal tolerance is given from this rear position. The infrastructure length is 900...
